Abstract
It is French Philosopher Henri Bergson who first brought into the scientific usage such terms as open society and closed society in the history of philosophy. Then Karl Popper analyzing H.Bergsons and other philosophers' account on that conception, wrote the ''Open society and its enemy '', In the book he presented his own view on the open society. According to Popper the main enemies of the society are communism and fascism. They are most tyrannical forms of rule that deny human right and freedom. A student of Popper , J.Soros inherited his conception and utilized the idea in the reality.
