There is a dissappointing situation that no understanding of the special bond between teacher and student because of our moral failure in our present society. Therefore this article is about the special bond between teacher and student in Mongolian traditional thought. Also, the article suggests that it is necessary to do the research study on the subject in order to learn and understand Mongolian traditional thought.
Building the special bond between teacher and student begins from the respect and belief the teacher who leads the student into the road of Enlightment. This principle is an important part of the tradition. The basic criteria of the special bond between teacher and student is the responsibility.
We have studied the principle of worshipping the teacher, the characteristics of respectful teacher, the characteristics of the student, benefits of having a good teacher and bad habits that ruins the bond in the Mongolian traditional thought.The characteristics of a good student are honesty, sharpness, hard-working, respect for a teacher and emotional stability. The benefits of respecting the teacher is that the student becomes with rich knowledge, good moral moreover, does not seduced by bad influences. The bad habits, which ruins the bond between teacher and student, are unsatisfaction , too much priviliges , less caring, implicitly critizing.
