Abstract
Theory of causation occupies important position in the every metaphysical theory. In this article l tried to elaborate chief features of causation theories in Indian traditional philosophy. On one hand Samkhya theory of causation holds that effect really exists beforehand in its cause on the other hand effect is totally new beginning not as latent to cause according to other theories such as Buddhism.Above considerations bring us to an important aspect of different views of causation and its contrast to one another. Therefore we must still consider and deal with the reality as it appears-in all its details of variety, change in terms of causality.
