Abstract
Gelukpa is buddhist direction which was widely spreaded not only in Tibet, but also in Mongolia and has long tradition to exert influence on the whole social life of these countries. Theoretical basis of this direction is represented by its founder's work ''Grades on the Path to Bodhi''. The author O.Chimeg considered contents of this work in socio-philosophical aspect.
As the socio-philosophical basis of Gelukpa the author considers the doctrine about three categories of people and Tsonkapa's teaching about yoga practice as one of the main criterias to distinguish them and interprets it as ''meditation process inherent in all people''.
Last part of the work is devoted to worship of one's teacher which is regarded as one of the main principles of gelukpa's social philosophy and ideological basis of theokratic from of government
The author considers that worship of one's teacher theoretically substantiated by Tsonkapa, which makes disciple's duty to attach himself to his teacher's views and devote to him, was an example of party principle and had been practically embodied in organization structure of gelukpian monasteries.
